YouTube Resources
Below are a few helpful Youtube links and channels that may provide helpful information about substitute teaching. Please keep in mind that these are not Kelly produced videos and provided for reference material only. In all cases, Kelly policy and procedure overrules any lesson or content presented in these links. For example, some advice might say "arrive at the school 30-45 mins early in order to prepare" - this is not the case for a Kelly substitute. Also, there is no food or candy to be given out by the substitute.

As with all the materials you see here and elsewhere on the web, keep in mind that Kelly Education policies must govern your actions. For example, a common technique for teachers might be to take a student out in the hall for a private conversation. As a substitute teacher, you cannot be alone with a student in a private setting and you must never leave the classroom unattended so a private hall conversation would not be an option.
